3

Why we use it

  • To reply to you, call you back, or send what you asked for: a demo, a sample kit, a quotation, a call about your village or your application.
  • To send you one confirmation email with your reference number.
  • To send Blog or Store updates, only if you signed up for them.
  • To keep a record of enquiries and follow-ups, and to improve our products and service.
  • To stop spam and misuse of our forms, and to meet our legal duties.

We use your data only for the purpose you gave it for. We do not sell it, rent it or use it for advertising.

5

Where your data is kept

  • Google Workspace (our company account). Every form entry becomes a row in a Google Sheet inside MahathaRise’s own Google Workspace. There is one file for each team (for example Farmers, Grama Sarathi, International Buyers), with new files each financial year. Only our authorised team can open them.
  • Supabase (our database). Messages sent through the Contact page on mahatharise.com are also saved in our database as a backup copy.
  • Our mailbox. Our team gets an alert email with the details of each new entry, in our company mailbox.

These providers keep data on their own secure servers, which may be outside India. We follow any limits the Government of India sets on sending data abroad.

6

The emails we send you

Right after you send a form, our system sends you one automatic email from the right team address at @mahatharise.com. It confirms we received your entry, gives you a reference number and shows a short summary of what you sent.

After that, we write to you only about your request, or with the updates you signed up for. You can stop updates at any time with the Unsubscribe link in our emails, by replying to any of our emails, or by writing to grievance@mahatharise.com.

7

Who we share it with

We never sell your personal data. We share it only with:

  • Service providers who run our tools for us: Google (Workspace: Sheets, Drive and Gmail), Supabase (database), Cloudflare (image storage and delivery, and the Turnstile spam check) and our website hosting provider. They handle data only on our instructions.
  • Courier partners, only when we send you something you asked for, such as a sample kit (name, address and phone).
  • Authorities, only when the law requires it.

Inside MahathaRise, only the people who need your entry to help you can see it.

8

How long we keep it

  • Enquiries (contact, demos, samples, quotations, gifting, village requests): for as long as we need them to reply and follow up, and for as long as we work together. After that we delete them, unless a law asks us to keep a record for longer, such as tax or trade records.
  • Grama Sarathi applications: while we are hiring for your area, and for a reasonable time after, so we can call you if a role opens near you. Ask us and we will delete yours sooner.
  • Blog and Store updates: until you ask us to stop.

Our files are kept year by year, which makes it easy for us to review and delete old entries.

9

Your rights

See your dataAsk for a summary of the personal data we hold about you, what we do with it, and who we shared it with.
Correct itAsk us to correct, complete or update anything that is wrong or out of date.
Delete itAsk us to erase your data when it is no longer needed for the purpose you gave it for.
Withdraw consentChange your mind at any time. It is as easy as giving consent: just write to us.
Raise a grievanceComplain to our Grievance Officer. If you are not satisfied, you can go to the Data Protection Board of India.
Nominate someoneName a person who can use these rights for you if you die or are unable to.

To use any of these rights, use the grievance form at the end of this page, or email grievance@mahatharise.com from the email address you used in the form (or tell us the mobile number you gave), so we can check it is really you. We acknowledge every grievance within 48 hours, and we write to you with the outcome within 30 days.

You also have a duty: please give us true details, and do not pretend to be someone else.

10

Cookies and tracking

We keep this simple. No advertising cookies and no tracking pixels run on our websites, and Google Analytics runs only if you say yes. These are the only cookies and outside services you will meet:

  • Google Analytics (only with your consent). When you first visit, a small notice asks whether we may count visits. Only if you tap Accept do we load Google Analytics, which sets cookies (names starting with _ga, kept up to about 2 years) to count visits and see which pages are read, from which country and which device. We do not use it for advertising, we do not send it your name, email or phone number, and we have turned off Google’s option to use this data for its own products. If you tap No, thanks, it never loads. Your answer is kept in one small cookie (mr_consent, about 6 months) shared by our three websites, so you answer only once.
  • All three websites use Cloudflare Turnstile, an invisible check that stops spam bots on our forms. It runs when a page opens and keeps one short-lived cookie (called mr_ts, about 5 minutes) in your browser, so our server can confirm that a form was sent by a real person. Cloudflare may look at your browser and IP address to do this. It is not used for advertising or for following you around. Apart from that, only the login areas for our own team use essential login cookies.
  • store.mahatharise.com also remembers your bag in your own browser. It stays on your device, and you can clear it from your browser at any time.
  • Blog videos, when a story has one, play from YouTube in its privacy-enhanced mode. YouTube may set its own cookies once you press play.
  • The map on our Contact page loads map pictures from OpenStreetMap, and our photos load from Cloudflare. Like any website, these services see your IP address so they can deliver the pictures.
  • To protect our forms from spam, our server looks at your IP address for a few minutes (it is never saved in our Sheets), and checks that the domain of your email address can receive mail.

You can change your cookie choice at any time with the Cookies link at the bottom of every page. If you withdraw consent, we stop Google Analytics and clear its cookies from your browser. Saying no never stops you from using our websites.

11

Keeping it safe

Our websites use encrypted connections (HTTPS). Form entries travel from our website’s server to our company Google account with a secret key that never reaches your browser. Access to our Sheets, mailbox and database is limited to our authorised team.

No system is perfect. If a breach ever affects your data, we will tell you and the Data Protection Board of India, as the law requires.

12

Farmers and Grama Sarathis who work with us

Farmers join MahathaRise by registering with their Grama Sarathi and signing an agreement. The field data we record for Trinetra 1.0 is explained to them at registration and handled under that agreement.

On our websites and in Trinetra 1.0 records, we may show a farmer’s name and village, to give them the recognition they deserve. We never show their mobile number, ID numbers or land documents.

13

Children

Our websites and forms are meant for adults (18 and over). If you are under 18, please ask a parent or guardian to contact us for you. If we learn that we received a child’s data without a parent’s consent, we will delete it.

14

Changes to this policy

When we change this policy, we update the date at the top of this page. If a change is important, we will also tell the people on our updates list. Each form entry records the date of the policy you agreed to.
